Hot Houses Cool Art – your imagined climate future
Have you ever imagined what a future with climate change will look like? What about the way you want it to look?
‘Hot Houses Cool Art’ will inspire you to share, through art, your vision of a climate-ready future for where YOU live. As part of the Victoria Nature Festival and Day by the Bay Online, we’re collecting all kinds of artworks to build a shared vision of how Victorians see our streets, suburbs and cities adapting to climate change. What kind of future will support both people and nature?
Share your artwork of your preferred climate future for the chance to win some great prizes (see below):
- Post your artwork to Instagram with the hashtag #HotHousesCoolArt (your account will need to be set to “public” for us to see your post).
- OR Send in your artwork via email to climatechangemelbourne@delwp.vic.gov.au.
- OR Complete the form and upload your image
There are some great prizes to be won, including a Port Phillip Ferries voucher, B-Alternative reusable coffee cup and Connected to Port Phillip caps and stickers!

Make Your Own Nudibranch Competition
Watch the recording of our Make-it-Yourself Splendid Southern Nudibranchs craft workshop and then show off your creations for the chance to win a prize!
It’s not too late to have a go! The recorded workshop is available here. Buy some clay or make yourself some play-dough, then have a go at making your own nudibranch while watching the recording for instructions! If you want to use the same clay we used for the workshop, this is it. You’ll want at least four colours for this workshop.
We won’t discriminate between clay types! We’d love to see what you can come up with, with whatever you have!
To enter:
- Post a photo of your creation on Twitter of Instagram with the hashtags #VicOurNature and #LovePortPhillip (your account will need to be set to “public” for us to see your work)
- OR Email a photo of your creation info@rememberthewild.org.au.
On the 31st of October we will choose the most flamboyant and the most life-like nudibranchs to receive a prize of a Connected to Port Phillip cap and stickers and a B-Alternative reusable cup!
